Strategy

Thompson Tee’s shirts are straightforward and is considered an essential item for many. However, that means unlike fast fashion brands, they do not have continuous product launches that generate new content or images to engage their consumer base. Thompson Tee was the first of its kind but since its launch many competitors have started to emerge. Some aiming for younger audiences or less educated. All images had dated models that did not look attractive in this current time. Additionally research has shown, plain white backgrounds tend to have products look less than they are worth. White backgrounds additionally tire the eye resulting in higher bounce rates.
I had urged and pushed for a new photoshoot as the images used previously as seen were close to 10 years old and dated. The new proposal for a photoshoot was created to attract new customers and engage returning customers. The shoot was to build confidence within a lifestyle not just another website selling undershirts.

 

Background: Thompson Tee specializes in undershirts, but specifically for hyperhidrosis. These shirts have helped many people who suffer from excessive sweating through their shirts of their pit-area and have given them confidence. Their products never change and have been selling the same SKUs for the past 10+ years.

Scope of work: Produce a photoshoot that would be distributed across: website, social media, paid ads etc. See photoshoot from pre-production, production and post production. Give creative direction and strategy with thoughtful insights along with research to client and team. Source photographer, videographer, location, and apparel for shoot. Create roll call sheet, timeline for all production stages, project management after photoshoot for web and manage billable list to client.
